Ladies, gentlemen and children of all ages are invited to "Thunder in the Canyon" The motorcycle club, Mission Riders presents Thunder in the Canyon rally, car show and concert at the McKelligon Amphitheater on Saturday, May 28, 2011 to support the Miracle League of El Paso. The car show and carnival begins at 12 noon at the Canyon Amphitheater with awards at 4 pm, the bike run will begin at Barnett Harley Davidson at 11:30am, making a stop at Mulligan's North and gathering at Incredibles at the base of the Canyon before proceeding into the Canyon. All motorcycle riders will then parade into canyon at 3pm led by the Honorable Mayor John Cook. The first local band to take the stage will be Brother Strange at 3:30 pm. At 4pm the tribute bands take the stage starting with The American Band (Grand Funk Railroad), Alive in Chains (Alice in Chains), Cowboys from Hell Paso (Pantera), and straight from Harrah's in Las Vegas Aeromyth (Aerosmith). Tickets are for adults and for children 13 and under and are on sale now and available at the Plaza Theatre Box Office, all area Ticketmaster outlets, online at Ticketmaster.com or, charge by phone at 800-745-3000. During the day there will be amusement rides and jumping balloons for the kids, with informational booths, local entertainment and live music.
